This is a life sketch of Lorenzo's fish tank. I scanned it in 2 parts so one side is darker than the other- too lazy to ajust it right now...I found a set of 25 long lost oil pastels on one of my shelves today and decided to play around with them.
This blog is a journal of my continuing journey to become a better artist while keeping the fun in art making. I've posted class assignments, personal, and professional work. In every piece of art I make, no matter whether the goal is academic, personal, or monetary, this blog is a reminder to myself to make sure I always enjoy the process. After all, why should any of us bother pursuing such a hard field to get into as art, if we're not having fun with it!

I'm normally not too ofended when I get a reject. I don't get them often and when I do, it'll be one that I myself felt wasn't as good as it could be, but I kinda took this one personal. I felt I had nice clean lines and a good likeness. The mother didn't say why she didn't want to buy it and had stoped me even before I even finished coloring it in. I thought it was a nice drawing so I went ahead and completed it so I can maybe use it as a demo.
