Had a lot of fun visiting the Oakland zoo with a friend today! :) I tried to sketch the animals but most of them don't like to keep still for very long so these are all quick studies. The monkey sketches are like 30 second sketches if that! My favorites were the bats~ I'd never gotten to see a group of them up close before and for day time they were really active.
When I got home, I felt inspired to recreate the impression I had of one of the turtles from my quick sketches.
