This blog is a journal of my continuing journey to become a better artist while keeping the fun in art making. I've posted class assignments, personal, and professional work. In every piece of art I make, no matter whether the goal is academic, personal, or monetary, this blog is a reminder to myself to make sure I always enjoy the process. After all, why should any of us bother pursuing such a hard field to get into as art, if we're not having fun with it!

Girl by the sea
On friday I got a letter from CalArts. "We regret to inform you..." those words really ruined my day. But oddly, when ever I'm down or upset I just end up drawing/making art, and usually it's really pretty. Some people punch walls, some people cry it out... and I make something purdy. Go fig. Anyway this piece and the victorian lady are the products of my frustration.
